BECOME CERTIFIED
STEP 1
SCREENING
We encourage institutions to conduct pre-assessment checking and determine its readiness before the certification process commences. It gives the institutions an overall perspective and evaluation of current status against SMOKE-FREE CERTIFIED™ Standard.
STEP 2
AUDITING
Smoke-free Certified™ Independent Auditors conduct an onsite assessment to gather facts and findings relating to smoking. Institutions are to be objective and receptive to the assessment as the aim is to strengthen and fortify any gap found so that institutions can live up to its claim.
STEP 3
REVIEWING
All facts and findings are brought to an audit committee for thorough review and discussion. The committee is expected to draw a conclusive recommendation or outcome for final approval of certification.
STEP 4
CERTIFYING
The final outcome is announced to the institutions based on the results presented. An institution can obtain either BENCHMARK CERTIFIED™ STATUS or ADVANCED CERTIFIED™ STATUS. Both statuses are testaments of the commitment by an institution in establishing a 100% Smoke-free environment.
STEP 5
SHOWCASING
Institutions are encouraged to exhibit and display their achievements for one important purpose and reason that is to attract and motivate others to emulate so that more institutions will join forces in getting the message of 100% Smoke-free environment across all levels of human endeavors effectively.
